Generally recognised as being one of the pioneer psychedelic groups of the sixties, The 13th Floor Elevators released four seminal albums on the highly regarded Texan label, International Artists between 1966 and 1969. Leader Roky Erickson's involvement in the recording sessions for 'Bull Of The Woods', the group's final studio album, was somewhat curtailed owing to his being sidelined by his increasing drug and legal problems.
