Chronicles is the brilliant new album from young folk fusion band 4Square Against all the odds, young folk fusion band 4Square have returned in 2010 to deliver a brand new album, 'ChronicLes'.

With the band's four members still very much in full time education and scattered across the land it wasn't looking likely at the start of the year that the band would be able to come together and record a follow up to 2008's debut, 20:20 Manchester.

But, buoyed by the phenomenal response to the band's live engagements at festivals and folk gatherings up and down the country last year (not least at Fairport's Cropredy Convention, where the band became the second best selling artist in the event's forty year history), the musicians came together over the Christmas holidays to write and begin recording this superb follow up, produced by the band and renowned young producer, Andy Bell.

Combining British folk music with Latin rhythms and riffs, all underpinned by 4Square's trademark funky and jazz-inflected edge, 'ChronicLes' is an album which is not only unashamed to display the prodigious talents of it's contributing musicians abilities, but also one that presents itself with a wicked sense of innovation which runs in tandem with a welcoming smile and a great sense of humour.
