Details:
Acoustic Syndicate are one of the more unusual acts on the US country circuit, they play a synthesis of sounds drawing from funk, reggae and Latin rhythms as much as folk and bluegrass. They are: Steve McMurry (acoustic guitar / mandolin / vocals), Bryon McMurry (acoustic and electric banjo / vocals / acoustic guitar / dobro), Fitz McMurry (drums / vocals), Jay Sanders (acoustic upright and electric bass) and Jeremy Saunders (saxophone). Here they are joined by guest players Aaron Price (piano / Hammond organ / antique pump organ) and Mars Fariss (electric guitar / National steel guitar). For this new album they brought in super-producer Lloyd Maines to handle the boards and harness the band's incredible live energy and properly document the tremendous growth of the band's ever-evolving, diverse sound. The result: their boldest and strongest effort to date.
