This complete anthology of the Vocal works of Jehan Alain a composer tragically killed in battle in 1940 at the age of 29 is not just a labour of love it's very much a family affair. The organ And piano accompaniments as well as the liner notes are by Marie-Claire Jehan's world-famous younger sister And whose daughter AurTlie Decourt has just published a book about her uncle including letters And caricatures (one is on the album cover) by this very talented man.
