Texas-born Albert Collins is acknowledged as one of the most talented and distinctive Blues guitarists of his era. He created a unique sound with his Fender Telecaster guitar; based on uncommon tunings and scorching solos. His nickname the Iceman was bequeathed upon him because of his piercing guitar sounds that seared the ears, just as icicles are sharp, and so cold they can burn.
