Monti Amundson has been compared to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Johnny Winter. Influences of Texas rocker Billy Gibbons, B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and others can also be heard in his passionate play but by blending these influences he has developed a style all his own. For this new album he was joined by his long-time musical alter ego Boyd Small, bass player Bart Kamp and second guitarist Dannie de Vijlder.The musical ideas of these passionate musicians, who have been friends ever since high school in Portland, Oregon, fit perfectly, whether it’s their solid cover of the soul classic "Hello Sundown", an original slow blues or a tasty boogie: with Monti's characteristic guitar sound leading the way this band radiates the blues, the whole blues and nothing but the blues.
