Her best songs from the 1950s. She never recorded an album, so included here is her only U. K. chart hit - This Ole House along with a fine collection of favourite single ‘A’ and B sides. Rosemary Clooney, Billie Davis, Joan Regan and Alma Cogan all released versions of This Ole House. Rosemary topped the British chart, with Billie peaking at number four, beating the other two. The writer, Stuart Hamblen, liked Billie’s version so much that he wrote a songspecially for her. That song, ‘Shake The Hand Of A Stranger’ which became a firm favourite. Many of the songs are covers, but Billie’s personality shines through in every song. She was one of the UK’s brightest and bubbliest song birds during the 1950’s who’s energy and fun loving performances rapidly won her the title of‘ Britain’s Atomic Blonde Vocalist;
