Follow up to the critically acclaimed debut Stuck On Lov? . This album tells the tale of the band's preparation and eventual move to the States.2003 had been quite a year for Big Steve and Stephanie aka The Arlenes. They'd been on a roll since an early Heavenly Records 7" release of Springboard' but it was the excellent reception given to debut album Stuck On Love' that finally allowed them some much deserved success. When word got out that the band were not only resettling in the States but were also planning on a follow up to Stuck On Love' it wasn't too long before they'd hooked up with old friend Mike Stewart (producer of The Gourds) and headed off to Austin Texas to begin work on the appropriately titled Going To California'. There was no shortage of local talent including John Dee Graham Floyd Domino and Cornbread all wishing to join the band in the studio. Once original Arlenes guitarist Al Christie flew in the recording sessions began in earnest at Wire Studios in South Lamar Austin Texas in December 2003.
