‘Spiritual Unity’, recorded in July 1964, was Albert Ayler’s first ESP label release, and was the first album that paired him with truly like-minded, inspired musicians

It was also the first jazz release (and the second release of any genre) on Bernard Stollman’s famous ESP label.
