Artist: Chet Baker Title: Complete Jam Sessions
Tracks: Indiana Liza They Didn't Believe Me The Squirrel Ornithology Barbados Cool Blues

Details: This mid-price album Features the complete historic session recorded live at the Trade Winds Club in Inglewood California on June 16th 1952 with Charlie Parker & Chet Baker fronting a band with pianist Al Haig bassist Harry Babasin And drummer Lawrence Marable. In addition to this there is the rare inclusion of 3 recently rediscovered tracks from Chet Baker's live concert with Charlie Parker at the University of Oregon on November 5 1953. These recordings have a particularly clean sound quality for live material of the period. On these tracks both frontmen are on great form. Baker's lush dreamy melodic trumpet sound is juxtaposed against Bird's frenetic rapid-fire BeBop alto style. Parker was 32 he had been a heroin addict since his teens And although still most of the time capable of incredible playing the downward spiral towards his death in 1955 was imminent. Baker was 10 years younger probably just starting his life as an addict with his greatest music still to come
