Info: Reissue of their 1993 studio album recorded in Belgium. Bratsch are a highly-respected 5-man French gypsy band formed in 1972 who play traditional European folk with many influences from Arabic to South America but with an especially strong Balkan / Central Europe style. The basic instrumental line-up is accordion clarinet violinguitar & double bass. They usually write their own material Or adapt pieces to their own style rather than slavishly reproducing historical folk songs.
