Although revered as a jazz pianist today Sonny Clark received no such recognition in his short lifetime. He died at the age of thirty one but managed to pack in a lot of recording time as a favoured Blue Note sessionman as well as his own studio dates. This 3CD set of his complete trio studio sessions including alternate takes is a fitting tribute to his talents And features among others bassists Paul Chambers & George Duvivier And drummers Max Roach & Philly Joe Jones
