The only studio album made by the Miles Davis Quintet featuring Hank Mobley on tenor sax and the last recorded encounter of Miles with John Coltrane, who joins Mobley on the title tune and is the only tenor heard on Teo.

Four bonus tracks (to the LP version) : 2 from the same sessions, as well as live versions of two of the album’s tracks recorded live at the Blackhawk, in San Francisco.
