This DVD presents The Bill Evans Trio in its last line-up ofMark Johnson on bass AndJoe LaBarbera drums who had then only been playing in the trio for a few weeks. It was recorded during an extended complete club performance in Iowa on January 30 1979 - just over 18 months before Bill Evans died. In a two hour set the trio perform 24 numbers - 3 Evans originals a wide selection of old & new standards And well-known jazz compositions - including poignant versions of Jimmy Rowles' The Peacocks÷ And Miles Davis' Nardis÷. Bill Evans' playing found even greater depth in this period following the death of his beloved brother Harry. This is one of the last filmed performances by the great pianist And has excellent sound And image quality. Colour - Total Time 1hr 58 min.
