This Gambit 2CD set presents a superb concert by the Bill Evans Tri- lessthan a year before the legendary pianist’s death - recorded live at theBalboa Jazz Club, Madrid, Spain, December 12, 1979. They played three nights at this venue, and one of those magic nights wasrecorded and appears here in its entirety - with Evans backed by MarcJohnson, bass and Joe Labarbera, drums. The music was privately recorded and the sound quality leaves much tbedesired. However, it has been newly remastered and sounds better here thanon any previous release.
