Zanucks production of Ernest Hemmingways The Sun Also Rises, Bonjour Tristesse directed by Otto Preminger (starring David Niven, Deborah Kerr, and Jean Seberg), Jean Renoirs Elena et les hommes and John Hustons The Roots of Heaven with Orson Welles, filmed on location in the terrible 140 degree heat of French Equatorial Africa.
