It continues the stark tradition of Hopkins solitary blues performances with only the Shad recordings introducing the unobtrusive addition of a string bass player while the RPM cut Candy Kitchen÷ affords the rare (and first) opportunity to hear Lightnin' Hopkins accompany himself at the piano
