Following the success of the first volume of singles by Joe Tex earlier this year, Shout! Records is proud to present Volume 2 of our series, covering Joes recordings for the Dial label during 1967 and 1968, chronologically sequenced, and featuring the A-side and B-side of each 45. Show Me was a turntable smash in UK clubs of the time, while Skinny Legs and All and Men Are Gettin Scarce showcased the humour in Joes music, and most of the 11 A-sides in this collection reached the RandB top 30 and the US national Hot 100, a captivating mix of beat and ballads by The Clown Prince of Soul. This album also includes Joes rare Christmas single and Chocolate Cherry, both now hard-to-find collectors items, and the booklet features a full session discography of the tracks included.
