Details: The Harry Lime Theme was one of the big surprise hits of the late 40's & early 50's famously used as the theme music for the 1949 film "The Third Man" - regularly voted one of the greatest movies ever made. Along with the whole movie score it was played And composed by Anton Karas a previously obscure Austrian zither player who by completely fortuitous chance was heard in a Viennese tavern by the film's director Carol Reed. The single sold more than half a million copies in the first month of release in the UK And went on to top the 'charts' in the US as well. It turned Karas from a poor working man into a wealthy one. This release includes all the original film music interspersed with film dialogue full notes And a bonus track
