An illuminating and revealing collection of cuts by an enquiring young singer moving freely about the cream of the tunesmiths and wordsmiths of the late '60's and early '70's pop/rock and singer-songwriter environments - Randy Newman, Harry Nilsson, Dory Previn, Gordon Lightfoot, Sonny Bono, John Lennon & Paul McCartney, John Denver, James Taylor, Peter Allen and Bill Withers. Significantly, produced mostly by the man responsible for Gram Parson's epic Flying Burrito Bros recordings - Larry Marks - these tracks (many of which have never been on CD) have a startling fragility and musicality about them, with a delicately quirky mood and engaging arrangements by the likes of Michel Colombier. A 78-minute CD lavishly presented with a 16-page booklet, an extensive array of images and detailed notes.
