Details: The Lee Morgan Septet entered a Hollywood recording studio on February 18, 1957, producing the material for the superlative album "Dizzy Atmosphere". This album, released here in a special 180 gram vinyl pressing, features many of the finest stars from Dizzy Gillespie’s orchestra of 1957, performing here at the height of their abilities. Personnel : Lee Morgan, trumpet; Al Grey, trombone; Billy Mitchell, tenor saxophone; Billy Root, baritone saxophone; Wynton Kelly, piano; Paul West, bass; and Charlie Persip, drums - with arrangements by Roger Spotts & Benny Golson.
