This live 1952 date in Hollywood is one of Pepper's earliest recordings as leader. Superb interplay with the excellent Hampton Hawes on piano plus Joe Mondragon (bass) & Larry Bunker (drums / vibes) as they explore a set of popular standards ballads blues And a good number of Pepper originals; with the alto Sax master in great form even playing brilliant clarinet on one track. All tracks newly remastered.
