I have been immensely impressed with thisdisc.... it is magnificient (Robert Matthew- Walker). Reviewed in the November 2006 edition of International Record Review.Stockhausen’s Gruppen for 3 orchestras is one of the most significant works in the 20th century influencing the Beatles and most modern music. The sheer scale of the work means it is not often recorded and here is most welcome in performances under the direction of composer Eotvos and coupled with the 1994 piece Punkte.
