Guitar supremo Jim Suhler made a name for himself as one of the finest young guitar slingers coming out of Texas since Johnny Winter. You have most likely already heard Jim Suhler driving some heavy blues with his guitar playing, since he is well-known as the lead guitarist with George Thorogood and the Destroyers. Here Suhler hooks up with Alan Haynes, who - for six years in the 90’s - was the house band at the legendary Antone’s Blues Club in Austin, Texas, and has played with some of the real heavy guys, like Albert Collins, Hubert Sumlin, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. This live set was recorded at the Blue Cat Blues club in Dallas. It has none of the studio touch-up work that’s fashionable on many albums that purport to be live. There is edge, tension and spontaneity as well as high calibre musicianship, on this electric blues extravaganza.
