Info: Recorded in December 1986 during the same two sessions as Reflections in Blue Hours After is an intriguing mix of radically reelaborated standards - "But Not for Me" (Gershwin) and "Beautiful Love (Gillespie et al) - and three typically inspired avant originals ("Hours After" "Dance of the Extra Terrestrians" and "Love On A Far Away Planet"). Both LPs are of a similarly high caliber but Hours After features a particularly strong Arkestra - this14 piece version features Randall Murray on trumpet Tyrone Hill on trombone and John Gilmore on tenor sax.'
