Details: During the mid 1960s The Watersons were the biggest thing on the British Folk Scene. This wonderfully original and highly influential group consisted of a brother, two sisters (Mike, Norma & Lal Waterson) and their cousin John Harrison. After few years off, the group reformed with Martin Carthy replacing Harrison and their 1975 comeback album 'For Pence And Spicy Ale' marked a triumphant return to form. Two music papers (Melody Maker, NME) judged it Folk Album of the Year, and it was hailed by critics and audiences alike as perhaps the best and most complete Watersons album.
