Sonny Boy Williamson's heavily amplified harmonica and intense, impassioned vocals are an unmistakable sound. His recording career got off to a late start but he made up for it by cutting some of the most exciting blues of the period. This CD marks the transition from the small Mississippi label Trumpet for whom he recorded with his band, the aptly named Houserockers to the Chess stable in Chicago where he was backed up by studio regulars like Muddy Waters, Otis Spann, Willie Dixon
