Details: Original soundtrack of the poignant 1951 French film "Jeux Interdits" (Forbidden Games) about a 6 year old refugee girl in World War II directed by Rene Clement And featuring the guitar music by Narciso Yepes. The following year the film went on to win the Golden Lion of St. Mark at the Venice Film Festival an Honorary American Acadamy Award And was voted Best Foreign Language Film also in the States. The film starred Brigitte Fossey And Georges Poujouly. Also included on this disc is the soundtrack music to a film that is now regarded by many cinema enthusiasts And critics as one of the most beautiful And brilliant ever made : "L'Atalante" filmed in 1934 by the young French genius director Jean Vigo - only his 4th film And sadly his last. The wonderful music is by Maurice Jaubert one of the great French soundtrack composers who worked with Marcel Carne And later Francois Truffaut among many others. "L'Atalante" starred Michel Dita Parlo And Jean Daste. First time on CD . .
